Match Fixtures

The club has a comprehensive match calendar, matches are held every other weekend throughout the year, and venues are rotated.

The draw takes place at 8:30 am and fishing from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The pools are £15.00 all in.

1. All matches will be 5hrs in length.(unless specified otherwise)

2. Competitors must fish from the platforms or designated gravelled pegs , he/she may fish as far as half the distance between his/her peg and the occupied pegs on either side. Where competitors are drawn on opposite banks, the limit of the swim is the line midway between each bank.

3. A competitor shall have in use one rod or pole, one line and one single hook at one time, but may have other rods or poles and tackle assembled for use in position behind them.

4. Barbless Hooks must be used.

5. All feeder rigs Must be free running from hook to rod tip, no bolt rigs, no elasticated feeders, no double loop rig.

6. Pike do not count.

7. Any bait, subject to local rules, can be used except live or dead fish, spinning baits or artificial lures.

8. Before the starting signal no competitor shall ground-bait or loose feed the swim, but will be allowed to wet a line, plumb the depth and test the float and position his/her equipment. On no account must a feeder be used before the starting signal. A ledger weight may be cast to find depth and distance etc, but a no time must the line be left in the water whilst continuing to set up other tackle.

9. No bait shall be introduced with a pole cup or bait dropper attached to an extra rod/pole whilst continuing to fish.

10. Floating baits either hook-bait or feed-bait are not permitted.

11. Hand lining fish is not permitted, this includes handling elastics and the line from the pole/rod tip to the fish. Pulla Kits and Bungs are allowed.

12. Maximum weight limit for each keepnet is 60lb.

13. A competitor must cease fishing at the finishing signal. Should he/she still be playing a fish hooked before the signal is given, he/she will be permitted no more than fifteen minutes after time has been called to land the fish.

14.No competitor shall leave his/her peg at any time during the course of the match other than to answer the call of nature and then he/she must not leave his/her baited hook in the water.

15.Each competitor will be responsible for ensuring the correct weight of their catch is recorded by the nominated official. In any dispute the decision of the weighers and the organisers will be final.

16.Competitors are responsible for ensuring that their pegs are clear of litter and no competitor may have his/her catch weighed in who has litter lying on the banks of his/her swim.

17.All the foregoing rules are subject to the byelaws of the Environment Agency, and any local rules applicable to a fishery

N.A.A Additional Match Rules 2024/2025

 

1. Social Distancing at all times and adhere to Government Guidelines
2. You must book in to fish the match
3. When fishing NAA matches you must adhere to all rules – Match Secretary decision is final
4. You MUST turn up and register before the draw time, if the draw as commenced you will be REFUSED
5. No Committee member or Honouree Angler can claim license. Membership will go to runners up by default.
6. Members will need to produce membership on Match Secretary request

Annual Match Championship

1. Starts from June 16^th, 2024, and ends June 15^th, 2025.
2. You must book in to fish the match.
3. When fishing NAA matches, you must adhere to all rules – Match Secretary decision is final.
4. You MUST turn up and register before the draw time, if the draw as commenced you will be REFUSED
5. No Committee member or Honouree Angler can claim license. Membership will go to runners up by default.
6. Members will need to produce membership on Match Secretary request

 

Bonus Pot – Golden, Silver Pegs

1. Minimum entrants to win a bonus peg is 14.
2. To win you must have fished at least 1 match previously.
3. When the Golden Peg is at £60 the extra will form the silver peg.
4. When Gold and Silver pegs are at £60, they freeze.
5. At the start of the match a Gold – Silver – peg will be drawn, and you will need to win the match to claim the prize.

 

Club Champion

1. All members are automatically entered for free.
2. 20 out of 26 matches will count – section points will be allocated based on section size.

Min section 7 – DNW will get last section place – nonattendance is DNW plus1 point.

(Example 10-man section – 1 points for 1^st, 2 points for 2^nd, 3 points for 3^rd and so on)

(Example 7-man section – 1 points for 1^st, 2 points for 2^nd, 3 points for 3^rd and so on)

3. If drawn then it will go to the most section wins achieved, if drawn then section seconds and so on
4. The Lowest score wins.
5. The pay out at the end of year is as follows: – Based on a £500 pot (pot dependant)

1^st        £160    + (Free membership)

2^nd       £130

3^rd        £100

4^th        £70

5^th        £40

 

Winter Series

1. To book a place follow normal procedures. (24 pegs)
2. Normal match entries apply, with an additional £5. Total cost per match £20. £5 goes into the overall payout.
3. Section rules and point rules same as club champion rules.
4. 5 out 6 matches count 1 point for 1^st, 2 points for 2^nd, 3 points for 3^rd and so on – Lowest points win.
5. If drawn it will go to weight.
6. Based on a £360 pot (pot dependant) WILL ONLY PAY TOP 4
