Over December we closed the lake to carry out de-silting and removal of the undercuts on the island.

We de-silted the whole lake and filled up silt bags which are currently on the island, we filled in the cage in with silt as this will no longer be used keep fish in ready for stocking.

We also have added posts and Terram around the island and filled in with silt, this will allow us to re plant up the island with carex reeds which will improve habitat for the fish and help with water Quality

We will be carrying out further work throughout the year on the island cutting trees and improving the look of the Terram.

This is an ongoing project and will take time but will improve the lake.
